The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) reported trading revenue of U.S. commercial banks and savings associations of $10.5 billion in the first quarter of 2021. The first quarter trading revenue was $4.2 billion, or 65.9 percent, more than the previous quarter.
In the report, Quarterly Report on Bank Trading and Derivatives Activities, the OCC noted that trading revenue in first quarter 2021 increased by 56.6 percent compared with the $6.7 billion reported in first quarter 2020.
