An extension of TMX Group’s leading equities markets ecosystem, this new service will provide enhanced access to capital for private and public issuers and exempt market liquidity for approved dealers and their accredited investors. Lou Eccleston, CEO, TMX Group, will be joined by Kevan Cowan, President, TSX Markets and Peter Conroy, President, Shorcan Brokers Limited to open trading on Toronto Stock Exchange today to mark the launch. “TSX Private Markets is open for business, and we are excited to begin onboarding dealers and companies” said Mr. Cowan. "Our new service offering aims to address existing challenges and create opportunities in an underserved segment of our markets.” TSX Private Markets is operated by Shorcan Brokers Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TMX Group and a registered exempt market dealer in every jurisdiction in Canada.
