TFG – LONDON – TFG Financial Systems, the financial software company specialising in portfolio management systems for hedge funds and banks, has enhanced its flagship TFG Complete product with an “on demand risk” capability. The enhancement supplements TFG’s existing real time risk analytics for multi-asset portfolios, and delivers significantly more capabilities to risk managers than the industry standard offerings.
The on demand service is available via its SaaS (software as a service) platform at significantly lower cost than many of the offerings currently on the market. The SaaS format lets customers take advantage of TFG’s highly sophisticated infrastructure, optimized pricing models and low cost hardware efficiencies.
With this update, TFG Complete can now provide consistency of analysis between enterprise risk and front office risk, which many market participants are now insisting upon. This ensures that both front office and risk managers are looking at consistent analytics based on consistent data whether it be VaR, stress testing, sensitivity analysis or correlated factor tests.
Barry Fenwick, CEO of TFG Financial Systems, said: “Not all clients (e.g. credit desks/funds) have a need for real-time risk and this solution leverages the capabilities we already have to provide on demand capabilities at much lower cost. The risk analytics we provide in real-time such as effective shortfall and portfolio ageing (needed for FRTB) are now supported real-time, multiple times during the day or end of day regionally”.
He added “All of the competing platforms were developed for next day risk reporting and really struggle with providing real-time or even intra-day risk reporting. The TFG platform was specifically designed for real-time so extending it for clients needing less frequent risk reporting was the logical next step”.
TFG Complete is already in use with major banks and asset managers around the world. It supports real time portfolio analysis, P&L, stress and shadow NAV as well as fully automated middle office capabilities. Coverage for multiple asset classes is provided, including fixed income, equities, inflation, commodities, credit and FX.
