Changes made to the blue-chip index series are being announced today after the conclusion of the regular annual review. The selection lists are based on the stocks in the corresponding benchmark indices and their free-float market capitalization as of Aug. 31, 2016. The component selection lists that are used for the 2016 annual STOXX Blue-Chip Index review are based on the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB).

The underlying component data – new numbers of shares and free-float factors – will be announced on Sep. 14, 2016 and reflect all corporate actions effective before the above changes are implemented on the third Friday of September (Sep. 16). The changes will be effective with the opening of markets on the next trading day, Monday, Sep. 19, 2016.
