Ken Heath recognized the meaningful platform that afforded him the opportunity to champion the achievements of women professionals. In 1999, Ken founded Women of Wall Street, which through its annual publication and awards ceremony honored women with varying degrees of talent and years of dedication to the securities industry. Excellence in Leadership, Mentors of the Year, Trailblazer and Rising Stars were just a few of the esteemed categories of recognition. Regarded within the trading community as a genuine supporter of women in finance, Ken maximized available resources to identify and promote their contributions and accomplishments. The Ken Heath Award symbolizes Ken’s attitude and service towards the advancement of successful, intelligent and influential women leaders in finance. **About STA Women in Finance** STA WIF operates as a committee under STA Inc. STA WIF leverages the established network, resources and values of STA to foster and create a culture of inclusion for women in finance. STA WIF supports and co-markets with other affiliate women’s organizations within the finance community. Together we create a stronger presence, promote membership amongst all organizations, and establish a platform for women in finance. STA WIF follows a set of guiding principles, which includes the belief that, where appropriate, men’s perspectives should be considered to improve the likelihood for success in the advancement of women in finance. It is in the spirit of this guiding principle that STA WIF commends the founding of the Ken Heath Award.   **About Ken Heath** Ken Heath serves as a respected example of the impact one man can make in the lives of many. Those closest to him would describe Ken as one-of-a-kind who left behind an amazing legacy that will endure for years to come. Ken was widely recognized for his philanthropy, being deeply committed to paying it forward through a lifetime of good work, including Women of Wall Street, where he was founder, mentor, sponsor and overall advocate of this great cause.  He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and actively engaged in charities such as the American Cancer Society, Wings Over Wall Street, Children of Fallen Patriots and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Prior to his 20 distinguished years at Source Media, Ken held sales leadership roles with exceptional brands such as Conde Nast/Car & Driver and Nabisco, started a telecommunications business and raced showroom stock cars.  Ken was a very cool guy.
