Nasdaq Gains in Options

Options-exchange market share data provided by OCC shows Nasdaq has gained market share over the past year, while NYSE Group has lost traction.

Nasdaq bought International Securities Exchange last year, doubling its exchange ownership to six. The eponymous ISE exchange’s January 2017 volume was more than four percentage points less than year-earlier levels, but that was more than offset by market-share gains reported by Nasdaq, Gemini, and PHLX.
