Nasdaq – CHICAGO – Nasdaq Commodities is dedicated to provide customers with multiple access possibilities to our markets via state-of-the-art software tools delivered by leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). We are pleased to announce that OptionsCity’s Software City Platform, including CityTrader and City Execution products, now offers direct access to Nasdaq Commodities Nordic and German power markets.

With this new integration, CityTrader, OptionsCity’s cloud-based futures and options trading software, expands upon OptionsCity’s commitment to provide robust tools and trading capabilities to a large range of market participants, from commercial energy firms to individual traders and market makers. Users of Thomson Reuters Eikon will also gain access to trade directly on Nasdaq via City Execution.

“OptionsCity looks forward to providing European customers with an intuitive platform to access the European commodities markets,” said Hazem Dawani, CEO at OptionsCity. “We are committed to becoming the trading platform of choice for commodity and energy traders globally, and expanding our connectivity to include Nasdaq Commodity markets helps deliver on this vision.”

“We are excited to offer CityTrader to our European based Commodities customers,” said Georg Aasen, Head of Nasdaq Oslo ASA and VP Nasdaq Commodities. “OptionsCity is a strong partner for our US Commodities initiative known as NFX and we are pleased to expand this partnership to our European commodities markets, providing another strong trading front end for both futures and options products and further strengthen our distribution capabilities in our European power markets.
