While it appears that the final implementation date will be delayed, we continue to advocate that the delay should focus on extending the “crunch time” – the period following the National Competent Authorities’ (NCA) final guidance and the compliance/implementation date. An extension of this period will provide market participants more time to plan, design and test their systems.
