Black Tie's Optional

Black Tie's Optional

When it comes to black tie events, how formal is too formal? Walking the line between dressing up for a cocktail party and dressing to attend a gala, black tie is a little more formal than cocktail attire, while being less formal than white tie. Can we wear a navy suit, or a short dress? The answer is yes! Times have changed, and the expectations for black tie affairs no longer mean the typical ball gown and tuxedo, or black ties. While it’s still fun to dress up for a fancy event, black tie dress codes now allow you to take your creative license to the next level. Drifting away from the norm is completely acceptable, and encouraged. Here’s some black tie styles that are sure to turn heads as you walk in the door.
