Argentine Stock Exchange, NYSE in Data Deal

Argentine Stock Exchange, NYSE in Data Deal

April 1, 2020 (BYMA)

Argentine Stock Exchanges and Markets is the first Stock Market in the region to make an agreement of this type. This will allow local investors to access information from the New York Stock Exchange in real time.

BYMA signed an agreement with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) , the world's largest stock market, for the publication and distribution of NYSE data through the NYSE data source Best Quotes and Trades (NYSE BQT).

NYSE BQT provides unified access to quotes and trades for each of the NYSE markets (NYSE, NYSE American, NYSE Arca, NYSE National and NYSE Chicago). This is the first agreement of this type made by a stock exchange in the region with NYSE.

From this novelty, BYMA will begin to provide information on the New York Stock Exchange in real time. Investors will have access to a more comprehensive offering of data from the international landscape that will include stocks, ETFs and ADRs operating on the NYSE, in addition to the available local content. This will be included in the new version of the BYMADATA platform that will be in force from the beginning of April and that aims to offer a greater volume and quality of data. The development will include additional content and functionalities that will be progressively incorporated, such as: information on the main Commodities, analysis of Mutual Funds, more sophisticated technical analysis tool, new link with Excel in real time, among others.

In this regard, BYMA President Ernesto Allaria commented: “ We are proud to finalize this agreement with one of the main market players worldwide. These ties contribute to the growth of the local market and allow us to improve the information available for investor decision-making. With this upgrade, BYMADATA becomes one of the most complete products on the market in terms of cost-quality ”.

“We are very excited to start working with BYMA to offer real-time data to Argentina on US equities, offering investors a comprehensive view of the market through a single source of information. We look forward to collaborating with BYMA on the project to optimize its BYMADATA platform, ”said Cameron McDonald, Head of NYSE Proprietary Data.

This milestone joins another of the strategic initiatives that BYMA is carrying out to enhance its products and technological standards.
